I think I'd have strangled her too in that situation. It's not like he's stable at the time yet it gets used against Six. And last time I saw it I realised that she does nothing but bitch at him from the moment he's not beige anymore.

People always act like he wasn't suffering major mental trauma at the time.

I don't mind Peri bitching, though. She had a lot of trauma herself and Six didn't exactly make it easier.

She was all "you're not pretty anymore!" like that was vital to her in some way.

People always say that--"Peri bitched at him for not being Five anymore!" But it's crap; she did nothing but bitch at him when he was beige, either.

And at least when he turns into Six, 1) he's a much more worthy target, making for a less-cringeworthy TARDIS Team than Five/Peri or Five/Tegan, and 2) despite her bitching, she does support him. In her badly written way. Unlike most companions, she pretty clearly wasn't there because she found the adventure addictive, or not by the end of Twin Dilemma at the very least; she seems to stay because the Doctor needs someone. One can debate as to whether that's a great reason or not.

Possibly "who says that?" too

I think there was a secret one time. That may be the entirety of where I'm getting it from.

I found Twin Dilemma worked best when I considered it as a very old-fashioned Flash Gordon adventure serial type thing -- each episode is quite different from the previous one in terms of setting and plot.
