I don't see any of this as particular OOC, it is explicitly a fantasy.
I hope it didn't come off as faint praise when I said in my rec for it that this is "AU in terms of character as well as events" or words to that effect; I think that if the kink itself is taken as the "what if?" fulcrum, the way the characters develop is properly AU and logical. And hot-scary, but you knew that, too.
and for Martha of getting close to him on a level inconceivable before she'd met him.
YES, SO MUCH THIS. So disturbing, but impossible to avoid thoughts like that about time travel.
I have never read the "Take me, Time Lord" fic

I did have fun thinking these bits up, but it was bloody hard work.
They worked very well for holding it all together, though. Have I mentioned how incredibly jealous I am of this fic?
though with the rewind switch of the Paradox Machine you can argue the toss about whether the cost was particularly high.

Possibly the religious imagery side of things is slightly overdone.
Given that you didn't know what would happen in LotTL--I'd never realized when this was written--remarkably prescient, however.

I badly, badly want to read the FP books, but they are insanely expensive. Are they out of print, or something?
