How is it already May?

No, really, how is it May? I'm not complaining as such, I'm just more surprised. I managed to go an entire month without posting anything on LJ. I swear I meant to post more this year. So far, it's not working.

Currently I'm being driven insane by chapter 15 of my Girl!Stiles fic. It's seriously driving me completely mental. Just ask tahariel. You have no idea just how much I'm looking forward to being able to post it. I don't know what about this chapter went SO wrong, but something sure did. I have a feeling the next chapter is going to be difficult as well. It's written, I'm just not sure I like it.

What I really need to do is re-watch some of S1 of Teen Wolf but I'm not sure I want to subject myself to that. Though, I also have to go and remember what the school actually looks like, so I think I'm going to have to suck it up and throw on an episode sooner or later.

As well as being driven insane by fic, I've naturally been watching TV shows more or less religiously.

So, lets get the big one out the way: Spartacus

Well, that's the best series finale I've seen in a ridiculously long time. The last one to get a similar reaction out of me was Friday Night Lights.

But, God, I started crying about 30 minutes in and didn't stop until WAY after the credits.

EVERYTHING killed me. EVERYTHING!

- I loved the opening and the way they homaged the great 'I am Spartacus' scene from the film

- Nasir making Agron a sword/shield combo so he could still go and fight by Spartacus's side

- I was almost convinced that Gannicus was going to survive Spartacus so watching him being brought down and ending up on a crucifix on Appian Way was particularly hard. Him seeing Oenomaus was a particularly nice touch

- The way Sura's prophecy from the pilot comes true at the end

- Everything about Spartacus's death scene was perfection. I particularly liked his repeat of how Spartacus wasn't his name and that we never learn it

- Dan Feuerriegel was amazing as Agron during the death scene. Him and Liam had me in tears

- I loved the conversation between Spartacus and Crassus before the big fight

- And their fight was fucking awesome. I just. Wow. And yeah, I totally cheered when Agron and Nasir appeared and carried him off

- All the death scenes were appropriate and made me cry

- Crassus forgiving Laeta after finding out what Tiberius did to her but then still crucifying her was horrible and the look on her face. God

- NASIR AND AGRON survived to the end. I say that again. NASIR AND AGRON survived. They got to go off into the sunset and be all happy and in love together

- The end credits, seeing everyone again, made me cry all over again. God, but I loved practically all of them

- And ending it with Andy yelling 'I am Spartacus' was perfect and amazing and so damn heartbreaking

I love how they keep things complex in this show

- All the guest stars were awesome and made me happy

- The stuffed ballot box actually working in Peter's favour was a twist I hadn't seen coming

- And Peter won. I was kind of expecting it but I still don't know what I feel about that

- FLORRICK, AGOS AND ASSOCIATES IS REALLY HAPPENING. Or, at least, it better be. I'm really hoping they don't walk that back at the beginning of next season - And they aren't according to this interview

- I hope Cary and Kalinda patch things up

- I think Robin will work pretty awesomely at Florrick and Agos and I like her a lot

- I'm still not all that bothered by the Will, Alica and Peter thing

- OMG, Raylan. You killed someone without killing them. Timothy Olyphant, you sir, are amazing

- This is the one and only time I've liked Winona. She got to be badass. That was very fucking cool

- Tim and the ambush was more awesome than an awesome thing

- Art is the best

- I wanted more Rachel. But admittedly she did get awesome stuff in the episode at the school

- Ava got arrested. Considering how she's kind of a criminal, I felt so sorry for her and Boyd

- I pity the fools who fuck with Boyd

- Jere Burns is amazing and awesome and I kind of want Wynn Duffy on the show all the time, but, at the same time, I have such joy at the small moments we actually have him

- Roll on next February

Mad Men is still Mad Men. There's no point talking about specific points until the entire season has aired. all I will say is that I love Peggy, Stan, Joan, Trudy and Dawn.

I have started watching Warehouse 13 on Netflix and I kind of love it. The BFF relationship between Pete and Myka is my favourite, along with the big bro/sis relationship they both have with Claudia. Plus, a gay guy where him being gay is just one part of who he is and isn't a big freaking deal. I just. Guys, I love this show like burning.

- OMG, I've been waiting for Jamie's hand to cut off for EVER.

- And the freeing of the Unsullied was just kickass and awesome and by fair Dany's best moment, bar none.

- All conversations between the Lannisters are gold

- Arya is still my favourite

- 'You know nothing, Jon Sn - OH! - maybe he does know something

So I saw Iron Man 3

Things I was less in love with

- I didn't exactly like the way they did Extremis

- I wasn't a fan of Tony destroying all the suits. I got what they were going for, but I did wonder at the waste

- The final 5 minutes where everything got wrapped up kind of bugged me

- Maya Hansen inevitably dying

Things I loved

- Tony and the kid. That was comedy gold

- When the house was attacked, Tony sent the suit to Pepper first. I died a little

- Rhodey and Tony being all buddy cop together. Brilliant. And Tony complaining that it was impossible to shoot a light bulb and then Rhodey doing just that

- Pepper got to defeat the big bad. I cheered

- OMFG TREVOR - I think that's the best reveal EVER and I'm delighted they managed to keep it under wraps

- The President's goofy look of joy about the suit after Rhodey rescues him

- Also Rhodey's rescue of The President

- The suits all fighting and kicking ass

- Jarvis being even sassier than usual

- Tony going and rescuing Dummy. I was happy as I'd been worried

- Tony using his brain for most of the movie and not just being Iron Man

- Poor minion - 'Don't shoot! Seriously, I don't even wanna work for them. They are so weird!'

- BRUCE FALLING ASLEEP IN THE POST CREDITS SCENE AND TONY NOT CARING AND CARRYING ON TELLING BRUCE HIS LIFE STORY - SCIENCEBROS FOR LIFE!!!

Books that I have read:-

6) White Cat - Holly Black

7) Indigo Spell - Richelle Mead
