Even more TV. Some books. And a movie.

TV shows what I have watched

oh my god. somehow Beauty and the Beast actually got worse in its second week. So much worse. I'd be almost impressed if it wasn't so dreadful.

There are so many problems with this episode it's almost impossible to count them. But what I did spend a lot of time wondering was why are Vincent and Catherine, after two episodes, are acting like besties. It's weird as fuck. Surely this should be something that develops over time?

I literally can't watch any more without wanting to scratch out my eyes. So, you know, I'm not going to.

So freaking awesome. Just Michael. Being bashful. And Nikita's 'you had me at give me the damn glock' was brilliant. I love those two so damn much. I'm kind of scared that something terrible is going to happen between them. Although I'll remain hopeful that their relationship was tested last season and the writers will continue to keep everything good in Michael and Nikita land even if everything else around them goes to shit.

Birkoff giving a pep talk to Ryan was hilarious and adorable and it's so easy to slash them, dammit.

As soon as Owen is back, I'll be happy. I love him and want all my favourites being awesome together.

I really enjoyed this episode. I love Belle and I really like that she is getting her own life, talking to people and making friends and getting her own place.

I think I enjoyed that there wasn't any Emma or Regina in it because that means that there's nothing crappy about adoption.

Also, focusing on characters other than Emma, Snow, Regina, Charming and Henry finally is a relief. It makes it seem like the town is actually populated by people.

Well, holy shit. They took Brody. Took Brody. I wasn't expecting that even a little bit.

I...can't imagine that torturing him is going to end well because isn't that just, you know proving his point about the US?

I can't wait for next week.

Clarke Hayden continuing to ask Alicia's opinion of people in the firm is kind of creepy. I'm thinking this is going to come to a head about something. It's worrying.

I love having Cary sharing an office with Alicia and that it's Cary who points out that it's not about hate crimes and actually about liability. The more Cary the better.

So, I guess the big question is has Peter been having more affairs? It's that or he's going to be brought down by people believing lies that sound try because they were last time.

And Jackie has Alzheimer's or dementia, right? Because she's confusing now with back at the first scandal, right? The way she got emotional with Alicia, she's definitely thinking they are back then.

I continue to love Will and Diane and Diane in particular was all kinds of awesome this episode.

I want Owen to come back. I love him.

Movies what I have seen

I saw Looper a little while ago. And - no spoilers - I liked it, but I didn't go wild for it like so many other people.

Books what I have read

20) Heroes of Olympus: The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan - I love everyone, but Percy is still my favourite. I can't wait for the next book.

21) Young Samurai: The Ring of Sky by Chris Bradford - Awesome series. I loved every single book.

I'm so happy that Jack got to see Masamoto again (I totally cheered when he was revealed) and that Yori and Akiko went with Jack to England. I was gutted that Miyuki died but she did take out 10 bad Samurai in the process.

I wanted to see Jack's reunion with Jess, but I get why it ended when it did. Begin with his arrival on Japan, end with his departure.

22) Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger coming to all good book stores in February 2013

So, no spoilers, but awesome book. It feels like the first in a series and this makes me happy. It has awesome female characters - it's mostly female characters. And they are awesome. It's freaking hilarious, this book. The first three pages had me crying with laughter.

I can't recommend it enough, really.
