Fall season is here again

Well, the TV season is truly upon us, isn't it?

Okay, so Hawaii Five-0 should be a show I can handwave away the stupid and the ridiculous, and, for the most part I can.

But recently there has just been too much that has made me want to throw things at my tv and laptop.

First off there is everything that happened with Danny and Rachel. They turned a female character I kind of loved into someone I really don't like. They made me doubt Danny's integrity and morals. But, way more than that, they made me worry about Grace.

Because how much therapy is that girl going to need? Because how confused are you going to be as an eight/nine year old and suddenly mummy and daddy are spending lots of time together and mummy is falling asleep on daddie's hospital bed but you're still living with Step-Stan? And they aren't hiding this from Grace so have they told her not to mention it to Step-Stan? Because I have no words if they got Grace involved in their affair.

Second off, they messed with four of the six recurring female characters.

Catherine and Mary are fine, and could well come back because neither of them died, but...

1) Rachel I've already mentioned

2) Killed off the governor's assistant

3) Not only did they kill off the governor, they also made her dirty

4) Jenna is now either dirty or compromised in some fashion

Four cliches in three episodes. I'm almost impressed.

Third, of the four new reccuring characters, three are male (and one of those is Tom Sizemore. Nice).

So, unless they do more than just handwave away Rachel and Danny having an affair, give Jameson a better backstory than being dirty and give Jenna an awesome plan concerning Wo Fat, then I guess I'm not watching H50.

I'll still be reading everyone's recaps, though and reading fanfic.

IT'S BACK and I love it still.

New captain is going to be interesting. I'm curious to see what they are going to do with her. I do wonder, though, if at the crutial moment, she'll come through for them, despite being a hardass.

Esposito and Ryan being all badass on their phones as they are striding through the hospital after Beckett was awesome.

I love that Esposito, Ryan and Castle were investigating outside of hours. I can just imagine them all sititng around the table at Castle's pouring over stuff.

So, Castle thinks he's managed to convince Beckett to back off for a little while. Do we really think so? Not surprised that he decided to continue with the case, though. And I'm looking forward to seeing who, exactly, that mysterious guy Montgomery posted that stuff to, is.

I did like how they showed how obsessive Kate could be with her mum's murder. It was nice that they knew what she'd first told Castle and that she was right.

And I liked Castle and Alexis's moment when he realises that she's kind of terrified that he could have been shot.

Really looking forward to seeing what they do with this season.

They need to get rid of the laugh track. It's distracting as hell.

Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

I was pretty sure I was going to like Kat Dennings character because I like Kat Dennings but I liked Caroline more than I thought I would.

I really liked the end, with them deciding to go into business. That'd be cool.

So this is one I'll carry on with.

This is like really, really boring and really, really terrible.

I'm really not sure it was necessary to tell us quite that many times that the main character's name is Nick Dalton. After the first seven or eight times, I really got it. And, god, but he's a boring character. As is the new bunny he's got the hots for.

Look, I don't believe the show runners when they said that this show was all about female empowerment and the like, but, if they had really wanted us to beleive that, then why is the main character, male? Why aren't they centering this on one of the bunnies? Or, possibly more interestingly, on the first bunny, Carolyn, as she tries to improve her role? Or the lesbian bunny who is trying to get money so her and her 'husband' can campaign for gay rights (or, I assume that's what they are doing).

It looks slick, but the dialogue is clunky and just a tad predictable.

Seeing David Krumholtz and Sean maher in this made me yearn for the days of them being in Numb3rs and Firefly.

This episode was kind of awesome.

The mother of the kid was all kinds of amazing. I dunno if I'd be able to help the police like she did. And that blonde kid who put himself in harms way so the bad guy wouldn't notice the mum texting was also pretty awesome.

There was a part of me that totally applauded when Sam and Rafi put down the guy and the wife. Although it is sad that all three people who tried to bust that guy out of jail ended up dying. I'm truly curious if the guy feels any remorse about the fact that he got his wife, brother-in-law and friend killed, or if he'll just blame the police for this.

How much did I love Sam and Ed supporting Rafi after his first kill? As Rafi is unsurprisingly a bit spaced out, Sam and Ed are just so matter of fact, talking him through how he'll be feeling, how they'll be checking in on him, it was lovely.

I just love this team SO much.

You know, for all the ridiculousness of this show: the enormous plot holes and just how bad everyone is at being an undercover agent, to name but two, I do love the team on this show.

If there is one thing this show nailed and managed to keep consistant from the beginning, it's Sam and G's relationship. They never keep anything from each other and Sam knew without any doubt that G would talk to him if he gave him just a little time. And G talks to him. he might not like having to talk about things, but he does. With Sam, and sometimes Hetty. but always with Sam.

Deeks getting made and then just running back to their hideout and bursting through the door, saying, 'I've got three prisoners', was hilarious. And then the way he had to revise that number to one after the shootout was great.

I was happy that Hunter wasn't a baddy and I would really quite like her to stick around.

I loved Kensi pointing out that Nell was just as good at the computer stuff as Eric. And, god, Nell. I love her so much. The way she makes people want to do what she wants them to; she's a Hetty-in-training.

Role on the next round of premieres and pilots.
