So I may not have seen Harry Potter 7 Part 2, but I have seen Captain America

Even after seeing him last year at ComicCon I wasn't all that sure that Chris Evans could pull off Captain America convincingly. Consider me convinced. Seriously convinced.

I really liked how they framed Steve's story between Captain America being found all frozen and him waking up in S.H.E.I.L.D.

I sat, staring at the screen in disbelief when they killed Bucky. They better do more Captain America films in the 40s because I want more Bucky, dammit. Because I also wanted to see more of Steve and his team.

I spent a lot of time muttering oh, Steve under my breath. And I got an unholy amount of glee every time Howard Stark was on screen. I kind of loved him. And Tony and Howard's openings for their world exhibition's were the same.

I really want lots of friendship fic between Howard and Steve because I think it would be hilarious and adorable. And would totally explain why Howard searches for him past all sense.

I think my favourite scene was the one where Dr Erskine and Steve talk before Steve has the procedure. And my second was Steve leading the 107th back into camp after rescuing them.

Steve wearing the original Captain America while doing the patriotic show things was hilarious as was how awkward he was at the beginning.

And Steve not being able to control his new body and crashing through the shop was hilarious.

There were a few things that niggled, though.

Mostly the fact that Steve didn't seem to require any training to become the perfect soldier. When he jumped out of the plane I was like 'how does he know how to do that?' Even if there'd been a training montage from Steve as a scrawny kid I would have been happy.

And then there was the trailer for The Avengers that came after the credits. OMFG! Why isn't it May 4th 2012 yet?

I totally squeeed when I saw Loki and Hawkeye. And, damn, but Thor's hair is significantly longer, isn't it? And Tony being all snarky to Thor. God, but I can't wait for this movie.
