San Diego Zoo
I seem to b e on a roll today. I've managed to sort out my San Francisco photos and now I'm on to my photos from the zoo.
I'm not entirely sure why, but I really find otters fun animals to watch at zoos, and the otter at San Diego proved on different
The hippos were kind of cool. They were right up against the glass and everyone was crowding around the glass.
I just thought this looked remarkably cool
A crocodile and a turtle
Orangatangs and, uh, gibbons or chimps. You tell me *g* A couple of them got into a mock fight and one of them walked along the glass and made faces at a kid.
Koalas - utterly and completely adorable. It is possible I wanted to kidnap one and take it with me
Camels
Cute little baby something or another
Meerkat Manor...well, not really, but it was hard to resist that terrible joke. Now Meerkat's are definitely fun to watch. There was one keeping lookout and then the others were all behind the bushes, digging and pilling on top of each other. I'd have happily taken a couple of Meerkat's to keep my koala company
The elephants
The lion sleeps at night. But on the plus side, we actually saw the lion, unlike the Tiger, which we heard but didn't even get a glimpse of
A couple of others, too
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree...

And, finally, the pandas

And the baby's bottom
And this just made me laugh
And that was my trip to the world famous San Diego Zoo.
