It's a bit white outside...

1) I love that everyone seems to be getting into a frenzy over the apparent leaking of the script of Eclipse. It's not like it's a big deal, surely? If you want to know how it ends surely all you have to do is pick up the book? And, as much as it pains me, people (read: most teeny girls) will go and see it no matter what.

2) Apparently Sam Raimi is having a bit of a fight with Sony about who is going to be the villain in Spiderman Four. Raimi wants The Vulture. Sony want...well, I'm not sure, but definitely someone attractive.

Now, let us look at the evidence:-

Spiderman's 1 and 2, sam Raimi decides who the villains are, gets it pretty much spot on (esp with Spiderman 2) and they are awesome hits.

Spiderman 3 Sony forces Raimi to use Venom and it becomes a mess and is panned by fans and critics alike.

Now, if I worked at Sony and looked at that pattern, what would I do?

Well, apparently I'd follow the same plan as Spiderman 3. *frowns* Why, I don't know, but supposedly that is what I'd do.

3) TV is coming back. So much to look forward to in January.

four days until Chuck
Five days until Leverage

Something starts on the 13th. What the hell is it?

19th Jan White Collar
21st Jan Burn Notice
23rd Jan Psych

Okay, so there are spoilers if you haven't watched all of it yet, but I'm not sure it matters. I still have no idea what happens in season five *g*

Both of these videos have made me want to watch final season of The Wire when I get home.

6) This morning, on my local radio, they read out the list of schools that were closed because of the snow. There were so many that it was split into two parts and went on for about five minutes, if not more. After hearing the list of about the eighth time (it took me a long time to convince myself to get out of bed this morning) I did wonder if it would be easier and quicker if they read out the schools that were remaining open.

7) I have tomorrow and Friday off work. This is great news on several fronts

A) I won't have to leave my house. Not even once. So I can enjoy the snow from the comfort of my living room.

B) I can catch up on Friday Night Lights, Sons of Anarchy, Coupling and Alias. Not to mention new episodes of NCIS, NCIS:LA and The Good Wife.

C) Finish reading some books, but specifically Frostbitten by Kelley Armstrong, Rides a Dread Legion by Raymond E Feist and Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde.

D) Sort out my fanfic so I only have left the stuff I still want to work on.

8) I re-watched Remember the Titans last night. I really love that movie, it's so damn feel good. I will admit to thinking that race issues in the US can't quite be solved that easily. I also loved that you could tell when the two main guys were going to be friends because the music told you so. Damn funny.

9) I also re-watched the extended version of LOTR:FOTR. Even after eight years it's a fucking amazing film. The CGI is still stunning and I still get shivers down my spine as I see Hobbiton and Rivendell. And I still cry when Gandalf fights the Balrog and Boromir dies.

10) The BBC received 134 complaints from viewers after Smith, newly regenerated from David Tennant in the New Year's Day edition of the show, looked at his new head of hair and said: "Still not ginger".
I mean, seriously? Seriously? I feel these people have never watched the show before in their lives and certainly never watched the 2005 Christmas Special. Utter, utter morons *eyeroll*
