Most excellent, Dude

Can I just say I'd totally forgotten the pure genius of Bill and Ted's Exellent Adventure. Me and my brother are watching it on ITV1 and it's amazing. I can't describe how much I'm loving it. It's just so out there. And so clever.

I'm really trying to type up chapter 9 of my HP fanfic but Bill and Ted and Dr Who are distracting me.

I loved this episode, I really did.

It was actually rather sad. The emotion the Dr shows when he explains why he leaves behind the companions - to both Rose an Sarah-Jane was heartbreaking. It all just makes me think that David Tennant is so much better than Chris Eccelston (so spelt wrong, sorry), who I liked as the Dr. I'm just not entirely sure he would have been able to put the subtlety and feeling into the scene that DT did.

I thought that Sarah Jane showed how travelling with the Dr can affect you was good, and it was good to see Rose thinking about what travelling with the Dr will mean to her and how it could affect her.

Isn't the Dr wonderful though? He created a new K9 for Sarah-Jane. Bless.

I loved the bit where they try to out do each other with what they've seen with the Dr. Thry way Sarah Jane trumped with Lochness Monster. And how they became friends over that. Even better was Mickey saying to the Dr that it was every guys worst nightmare, the ex and the misses together. When they laugh at the Dr and he gets all worried about why they are laughing.

Mickey seemed to come a bit into his own in this episode as well. I'd never really liked him in S1 but that started to change in the Christmas Invasion and I actually like him here. Should be intersting to see what happens with Mickey travelling with them, at least for the next episode. He's going to be the metal dog, haha. How long did it take him realise why K9 was mentioning the fact that they were in a car?!? That was hilarious.

'Suggest you engage running mode.' K9 was just the coolest.

Anthony Stewart Head was obviously relishing being the bad guy for once. Although the bit where he says 'forget the shooty dog thing' he sounded just like Giles saying something like 'Xander, don't speak latin in front of the books.' Or something similar. He had freaky ass eyes as well. The black guy was wonderfully creepy as well. He was just so unnerving.

My brother pointed out that the bit where Mr Finch opens the door and you see the dinner staff, they look like dwarfs, and it just reminds us of Teachers.

Did anyone else love the sign above the entrance - Welcome to High School. It seemed just so Buffy but in a very English way :)

Oh, and defeated by a plug. Could it be any better. Possibly it wasn't a good idea to make it quite so obvious where the main pc was...oh and shouldn't that plug hsve blown a fuse a long time ago?

The way Finch trys to get the Dr to go over to their side by talking about how he could use the power for good reminded me of the use of the Ring in LOTR.

And did we ever find out why the bat thing stopped from attackig them all? I don't think that explained.

Still loved the whole thing though. And next week with the costumes in the court of Louis XV should be great.

The bit where he calls her 'My Sarah-Jane,' brings tears to my eyes.

So, now I've finished raving and fangirling about this weeks episode, I'll stop, *grin*

Going to try and get some of my fic written now. Whether I'll carry on with chapter 9 or11 of my HP fic, or chapter 2 of my CSI fic, I dunno.
