Here I Am!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was quite stellar, though a bit smaller than usual: my brother and his family decided to stay home this year. A perfect storm of family politics collided directly into him this year, and I think he just felt it was all too much. But we did have my parents and Geoff's dad and wife. Everyone was in good health and good spirits. xclairedelune took some really super photos, and I hope she puts some up on her LJ, because I didn't get any.
On a non-Thanksgiving note, I do have a photo to share. We were blessed a couple of weeks ago with fantastically warm and sunny weather, and we all went to the beach. The Spawn even went swimming in our icy waters. While we were there there, several horseback riders rode along the beach, and one group was all on enormous horses - Clydesdales, I think. One of the riders even went into the water with his horse. Aren't they magnificent?
Speaking of wonderful climates, how about our wonderful political climate?! I still almost can't believe our good fortune. And I'm still loving my Barack and his cabinet and economic nominees. A little worried about Hillary, maybe, but I can't argue with the political canniness of it. Today's heartwarming moment is brought to you by, the public posting of all the donors to Obama's Transition Project. Ah, I love the smell of transparency in the morning!
