All about me-- or sort of some things about me.
So I have some new and newish friends here on the old f-list, so I figured I would go ahead and say "hi!" by letting you know a few things about me:
Me stuff:
My name is Mandy and I'm turning 25 in December (and having "ohnoes I'm wasting my life" kind of thoughts about it) I live near Boston, and have for all of my life. I'm engaged, and my fiance's name is Bill; we've been together for a million years, since I was 16, and we've been engaged for um, four years now I think. We have a german shepherd named Bear who we rescued from a shelter, and I post about him a lot because he's my favorite! I come from a really close family, (two brothers, one sister (all younger) both parents and a great tight-knit extended family).
I am really disgustingly bored with my job, and feel pretty isolated here at work, so I'm looking for something new. I love to "do stuff" and am constantly planing... outings to concerts, plays, dinners, events etc! I'm "artsy" and create things in fits and starts. I love to write, I also love to cook. I want to be a writer some day, and while I don't post my writing here, I sometimes post little scenelets over at write_away. I don't post quite as much as I would like, but I do read and comment a lot. I am a gamer and a big geek-- I've played or am playing in a bunch of role playing games, and I post about that sometimes.
Fandomish stuff:
I'm getting more involved in the whole H_E thing this term, and am excited because it gives me something to do at work. I don't read or write fanfic, but if you do-- don't worry, I won't judge you ;) I've only ever shipped one thing and it was Buffy//Spike, but I shipped it with all my heart.
