Well, It is official... I am not going to do a thing out of the house aside from food runs until I get this milk in. I totally sucked at popping my fenugreek pills because I forgot to take them with me, they were next to the diaper bag when I left the house, and still there when I came back.
I did remember to take the pump, but I didnt get to use it. When I got home I didnt have time straight away to get caught up. So it was over 5 hours between pumps. Not Good. :(
Yesterday I met
kateaw and her daughter for lunch in Broughty Ferry before my reflexology appointment. I felt rushed and didnt really get to sit back and enjoy as I would have before becoming a mom! Funny that, even when you do something for you, the little one still manages to be the main focus. He was hungry, so I had to feed him, try and feed myself as I dont seem to get to eat these days. It was lovely to meet them though. Irony is this:
tobyaw which is
kateaw's hubby used to work with C 5 million bajillion years ago when his company was in Invergowrie. C's company are now in Edinburgh. C swears he has seen him on the train a couple of times before wearing a suit. I told him he works in Dundee, but what are you going to do. He could be right, but I dont see why a guy working in Dundee would be on a train to Edinburgh! Anyways, small world. C says he was in a different department then and knows of him but didnt work to closely with him. I find it rather amusing though.
After my appointment yesterday, I took Lilbuff for a walk around Broughty Ferry. I stopped at the water for a few minutes and we fed the swans some Cheerios. NOTE, they like them! Then strolled along the water and back up towards the carpark I was in. I turned down Long Street instead of going one block further to Main street like I normally would. Isnt it funny how one small decision can change things. It is a lovely street. I saw an abandoned looking house that I just fell in love with. Majorly needs TLC but I want it. LOL C would never live that far from the Dundee train station or that close to his parents, but still... I WANT IT. It reminds me of my grandfather's house in a weird way.
A man was standing outside watching his kids play and I asked him about it. Turns out the old guy that lived there passed away last December and he owned that house plus several lots nearby. He believes them all to be for sale. The lady across the street came out to get her bin and put away and he called to her to inquire more about the house. It seems that she was good friends with the old man that used to live there and even helped take care of him until he passed. She took me around the grounds (aka thru the overgrowth) and showed me the outside of the property plus the servants quarters. Since the will is in effect, she didnt want to take me inside without speaking to Solicitors handling his will. Seems the family that inherited it are not sure if they are selling or not. I looked it up when I got home and couldnt find it listed on the property site. :( I dont know why I am bothering. C wont move. He likes the house we live in now. It isnt that I dont, it just isnt my taste or style. I am seriously not a modern gal!
Anyways, the lady I met is named Denise. She took me through her house which is built much later but has similar characteristics and such. She seemed really nice and we had a little blether and she asked for my phone number and made plans with me to meet up next week for 'coffee'. She is a SAHM with five kids, but I think her youngest is 10/11. Obviously MILES older than Lilbuff to say the least. I think she is lonely. Just an impression I got. I met her husband (Chris) and he was supernice. It was nice of her to show me her home, it was super lovely. I get the impression though that her heart is as big as mine when it comes to geriatric care. She got up to take care of someone elses relatives as the old Man across from her used to ring her at 4am to come help him on the toilet. I remember those nights myself having moved in to take care of my grandfather, but he was FAMILY. This woman did it for a neighbor. Yup, she is someone I will meet for coffee, just for that alone.
Anyways, after that I came home and sliced up the chicken, broccoli, snow peas, carrots and baby corns and made a quickie stir fry. I also chopped some carrot in the food processor and heated it a little for Lilbuff, he liked it but I dont think it was soft enough for his poor wee gums. He has TWO teeth through now, One is a little bit further along then the other but not by much. He pushed the one through Sunday/Monday and the other I could feel 100% yesterday morning. I sort of felt it Monday as well but not as prominate as the other tooth.
Milestones... he is such a big, big boy!
C and I will be back in Broughty Ferry at the weekend. I may have to walk by there and get a photo of the house. It is a run down mess, but I am itching to get my hands on it and restore it. Again, it wont happen, but I can dream! LOL I bet some property developer will come in and turn it into flats. It would really piss me off, but that seems the way over here. Blah.
