I said I'd alert you when it happened, and Imdb finally posted an article today. Ioan's become a father again, and

It's A Girl!!!Her name is Elsie Marigold, which might be a bit confusing with an Ella running around their household as well, but maybe one of them will wind up with a nickname ( Read more... )

Splendid, indeed! And at least it sounds like the labor didn't take anywhere near as long as last time, so I'm sure Alice is grateful for that.

Maybe. I just remember imdb getting the news about Ella almost immediately after the birth, with maybe a day or two of waiting (and considering the 40 hour labor, I'm honestly not surprised they needed a day of rest). But maybe they wanted Ella to get used to her new sister first.

Me too. Everything sounds fine according to the article, it's just a mystery as to why they waited so long for the news to be announced. And there was me thinking Alice had gone OVER her due date...

I am so glad you posted! I'd been wondering what was going on, especially as a Mets fan: our ex-catcher's wife went something like 2.5 weeks overdue earlier this season, so I'd been wondering if Alice Evans was going through something like that, and if everything was okay. I do agree that having an Ella and an Elsie might be confusing, but I'm sure they'll work it out; besides, what you actually decide to name your kids seems to have very little to do with what they actually wind up being called!

(And, how did I not know that--according to EW, anyway--Ioan guest-starred on Glee? I mean, granted, I've only ever seen one episode of the show, and that was because Matt Bomer was in it, but I'd certainly watch it for Ioan! Not to mention I thought I'd been keeping up on what he was doing.)

I was checking IMDB daily, figuring that would be the first place to get the news. You can imagine my surprise when I actually read the article and discovered it happened half a month ago. Ah well, at least everything seems to have turned out ok.

(And I wouldn't bother with Ioan's "Glee" appearance; from what I've heard, he's barely in it, and depending on who you're talking to, is either a jerk or just responding in kind to a pushy female main character. There's a chance he'll be returning, but I have my doubts.)
