Calling All Ioanites...
So I was watching some clips from the Graham Norton Show, and just generally enjoying the weird stories that come out of that show. Without going too much into my train of thought, it reminded me that there was a Ioan appearance on the Craig Ferguson show that I hadn't seen. I found it on youtube, and as is standard operating procedure for me, I read the comments first. And that's where the trouble lies.
You see, it appears that Craig has instituted this new game where he asks the guest a question and if the guest gets it right, they win some money (probably a bag of pennies, is my guess). Anyway, the comments made it quite clear that Ioan actually lost at this "quiz", apparently the first guest ever to do so. Most of the comments were either answers to the question (name three Bond movies that have one word titles) or marveling at the fact that Ioan lost, with a bit of an implication that he was pathetic for doing so. It didn't help that of the remaining comments, at least two included some variation of the phrase "he's so creepy" and one called his accent "pervy". After endless comments on the Graham Norton and other Ferguson videos talking about how much the person loves the guests, this felt...harsh. And the worst part is, I doubt all of the commenters were bitter former Ioan fans.
After reading the comments, I couldn't bring myself to watch the video. But the comments have been nagging at me. Thus, I want to ask a favor of my friends-list. Watch the video on youtube (it's the first item that pops up if you type in "Craig Ferguson Ioan Gruffudd") and answer me two questions.
1. Does Ioan say or do anything that might be construed as creepy?
2. What exactly happens during the quiz? A few people suggested that it might not entirely be Ioan's fault, so I'm utterly confused as to what went down. Did he get two titles and run out of time, or what?
