Oh, this was so utterly lovely. So fantastic to go back and see the start of the writing, getting that glimpse into what started small and ended up meaning so much.

I love this series. There's something so beautiful and sensual about the Doctor writing on Rose's skin in his own language. This beginning is just what a Nine girl would order up. Thank you!

Cheers to being Nine girls! I admit I write more of Ten, but I saw Nine first and that was what totally dragged me into this fandom (then not too long ago a friend of mine made me sit down to watch Elizabeth which features CE in a pretty big role...hoo boy. *fans self* Soon after that I started writing this).

lovely. :) i love nine when he's being a bit prickly...and when he's being all sweet and hopeful. and i love rose's little dream of ten...and how the end draws us one step closer to reuniting...

and for the loreena mckennitt reference, ubersquee! when i got to that part, i had to go listen to la serenissima... :)

Prickly and sweet and hopeful? Yay! That is a perfect description of how I meant Nine to be here - I think you summed it up better than I could have. And the end, at least how I'm envisioning it in my head, is right before the reunion. Rose is smart and she knows exactly what's coming. And I have to say that I got a large amount of unholy glee out of writing the dream and the end, knowing where those scenes were going to lead.

And of course I had to put the Loreena reference in there. *g* She didn't play it at the concert but it's one of my favorite pieces. And I wanted to set the reunion scene in Venice because it's just so darn pretty and gritty and real there. Also, I have a playlist for this series on my computer, and quite a few of Loreena's songs feature on there. There's that dorkiness coming out again, LOL...
