Umm well I did get a badge saying I wrote like JRR Tolkien, which is nice but I couldn't figure how to get it to come up on LJ [I've never understood the techno mumbo jumbo associated with these kind of things] so you'll just have to take my word for it unless this link brings it up! Then, I copied the paragraph again just like it appear in FOTR, and was told Tolkien writes like.... Stephen King. ROTFLMAO He must have been foresighted to write like Stephen King.
That's the paragraph I copied:
The hills drew nearer. They made an undulating ridge, often rising almost to a thousand feet, and thee falling again to low clefts or passes leading into the eastern land beyond. Along the crest of the ridge the hobbits could see what looked to be the remains of green-grown walls and dikes, and in the clefts there still stood the ruins of old works of stone. By night they had reached the feet of the westward slopes, and there they camped. It was the night of the fifth of October and they were six days out from Bree.
I wonder what Tolkien would have to say about that.
Liz, excuse me from hogging your LJ. You know I'm too lazy to use mine. To post the badge here you just have to copy that huge thingy called code for your blog.
And you do write like JRRT.

You're very welcome to hog my LJ all you want! I did try to copy and paste that code thing but all I got was the code and no badge. These sorts of thingys really don't perform for me!
And thank you, though perhaps you ought to say I write like Charles Dickens!

I wonder why the code thingy did not work for you. Did you copy the whole thingummy?
