something to ponder

I was really bored and was reading through old entries and stumbled upon this one from June 1, 2004. It's part of a private entry that I posted to a particular person, so most of you haven't read it. I just thought it was strange because, for the most part, I still feel the same way. Usually my views change greatly throughout the course of one year, but this one stayed the same.

"I made mistakes and I have to live with them now. You will make new friends in college and you will stay friends with those people who are closest to you. If a friendship is strong enough, it won't be broken. The memories will always be there and sometimes those are the best. Good memories will never fade.

Don't think of graduation as the end, but as a new beginning, a chance to start fresh and meet new people. A chance to go somewhere where people don't know your past or the mistakes you have made along the way. I have to say that that is what I am looking forward to most when I graduate a year from now. I just want to start all over."
