[He'll look a little annoyed as he turns his communicator on to answer him.]

And might I ask where I should be meeting you? And why?

Docks. And because I said so. So get to it, you've got five minutes.

[He's just hanging up.]

[Not managing to get a word in, he frowns as Seifer ends the conversation. Well now. So this guy was the one who'd been running the Watch prior to his leave and return? He was certainly a charming individual. Deciding it best to go anyway, Credo gathers his blade and makes his way over to the designated place.

His curiosity for why Seifer had called him out specifically was the main reason he'd even came, and as far as he was concerned, it better be important or he wouldn't stay long. He had no patience for playing games.]

[Seifer was there. He didn't have his gunblade because he promised Hans he wouldn't beat on Credo and stuff. So. No gunblade. Just incase he got the urge since he wasn't too sure these days he could stop himself from that sort of thing. Seifer: responsible only when you aren't looking.

When Credo arrived he looked the man over for a moment before speaking up.]

You know who I am?

When we first spoke, no, but now I've managed to piece together your identity.

[His hand rests on the hilt of his sword, more in a relaxed position, out of habit. He's sizing Seifer up as well, curious about the man who'd called him out.]

Might I get an answer as to why you've asked me here, Seifer?

[Truthfully Seifer's been sizing Credo up since he called him on the network. There's a reason he was a complete jackass about it. Well aside from the fact he just feels like being a jackass anyways.]

Hans said you were a possible replacement. I'm back now so I'll be taking charge of that. You can consider this a job interview.

Why don't you tell me what you had to do with the police force.

Possible is the word.

It seems everyone had been waiting for you to come back, if you did. So you're not interested in keeping your post as 'leader'? [An interview? Huh, well, he didn't like feeling like Seifer was putting him on the spot, but if he insisted.]

When I first joined the force it was being led by a Minato Arisato, and at the time there were a decent amount of people working along side us. For the most part I did basically what your Watch does, patrols through the city and the like, being available when disaster struck, except we tried to enforce some form of law, which never went over well with people here. The jail was used for those who broke the law, which typically ended up being those who committed murder.

[Shifting his stance a bit, he links his hands behind his back.]As time went on, people were sent back to their worlds, or people left the force. It was difficult trying to protect those who, for the most part, wanted nothing to do with us. Even if our intentions were to keep them safe to the best of our ( ... )

[Well that was all very interesting and concise, which he could appreciate. Still he raised his head just the slightest bit. Time to get to work.]

I don't believe in laws. Only rules and I only got one: stay out of my way. The Watch runs on this basis and so far it's worked pretty well.

How good are you at child care?

Hm, a fair enough rule. [If he gave him no reason to get in his way.] And so far I've seen that The Watch runs well, I've no complaints.

... child care? [That caught him a bit off guard. And he wasn't bad at it, quite opposite really, but he had to wonder why that question.]

I would say good enough, though why is that important?

[That gets a bit of a look from Seifer.]

You're in Discedo. How would it not be?

[Slight pause]

Or do you just think as long as you show up to save the day that's good enough? I'm lookin' for a replacement, not to lower standards.

[That gets a look right back at Seifer.]

I raised my siblings while training to be a knight, back in my world, so if there is need for it, I can handle it. [Most awkward not!mom ever probably, but he did it.]

[Hnnn another pause.]

I think you're misunderstanding what it is I do around here. What'd Hans tell you?

Reply

[Action] loyal_credo October 3 2010, 05:18:55 UTC
Basically that you were the leader, the one who rallied everyone together.

And that you seemed to be good at getting people to listen.

[No really. That's basically what he was told.]

So I only assumed you were a self appointed commander of sorts. Am I wrong with this assumption, then?

[Lmfao Seifer just has an incredulous look for that. The hell has Hans been telling people. But he'll wtf over that to himself later, for now he just puts his hands in his pockets.]

I worked on my own originally before Hitsugaya set up the watch. I helped him on the side until he was sent back. His replacement didn't last long and didn't manage much. I've always had my own interests in this city; hard to get things done when the place's a mess. I took over after that.

I manage communication, supply, intelligence, recruitment and command. Everyone answers to me, Watch or not. I expect the same from any replacement.

[He's not going to hide the extent of what he does. He's not stepping down so someone can only do half the job. It's all or nothing.]

There ain't any military here. Aside from you'n me there's Kresnik and Sephiroth. Maybe a few other people if we got some surprises while I was gone. Think Jill was part of a police force or something. That's it.

You ever directed civilians before?

[Action] loyal_credo October 4 2010, 01:52:07 UTC
So not just commander, but more a lord of the city, hm? [He jests lightly, though does it ever sound odd coming from him. He's not one to joke around much.]

I'm still surprised that everyone seemed, or from what I'd gathered, fine with answering just to you for all of this. Not saying one man couldn't handle it, as that would hardly be true. I would think most would rebel against such things, considering the track record of anyone trying to step up to do things in Discedo. [Credo studies Seifer a moment, gloved hand rubbing at his chin before his arms cross lightly.]

Is there are reason you've decided to not continue this? Or is that something you're not going to discuss with me?

And as for directing civilians, I've had much more experience directing my own men. General of the division of the Holy Knights back in my world, I am use to leading men who have my respect and respect me as well, who listen when I command them to do something... it doesn't exactly work that way here. [A small sigh, and he shrugs.]Everyone is from ( ... )

[Maybe that should fill Seifer with pride, but it doesn't; it only makes the irony of Discedo grate further. Why can he succeed here, why can he accomplish whatever he wants where it doesn't matter. He's hardly so successful back in his world and the entire inversion of how things should be to this twisted mockery only makes his face set in an expression rather cold and more than a little bitter.]

I don't care where people are from. I don't ask much and I expect them to abide by that. If they can't manage even that I give them a reason to. [What reason he doesn't say, but it's not hard to imagine he might do some terrible things. Not that he's ever actually resorted to violence much, but it's always the bottom line if all else fails. He pauses and regards Credo for a moment. Tch... this isn't enough. Damn it. For once in his life why can't he settle for less than the requirement.]You'll work under me for now and we'll see what you pick up. I don't plan on being in Discedo much, but until then we'll work on things. You'll do more ( ... )
