Summer is here. And with it, all kinds of strange potential and freak uncertainity.
The nightmare of Junior year has ended...it wasn't an entirely bad year, but it was hard. As I reckon most things good for you are. Oh well it's done now and for that I am glad.
Now is the time to kick things into gear. No more screwing around. It's time to push myself. It's time for consistency, hard work, and cleanliness. It is also a time for catching up. I am working my way through a list of people to catch up with.
July has brought about three options.
1). stay on campus and work
2.) go home
3.) live with Greg for a month.
4.) some sort of road trip involving dangerous weapons, large sums of freshly laundered money, and spainish radio stations.
Today, in my Africa class we learned that in certain parts of the continent, anthropolgists have been studying the wrestling rites of primitive tribes for years. And they still cannot figure out the complexites( which family earns the right to wreslte which family, and which family member earns the right to challenge another, the system for determining their wrasling hierarchy) of these rites.
Also, for those of who enjoy items of intrest along "Syriana" check out the book "one month and a day". Nigera, a major player in the oil trade, used to have the majority of it's oil owned by private Nigerian companies. And then the Gov't took control of all the oil in the country. And then the immensely corrupt Gov't turns around and sells the countries oil reserves to SHELL oil corp. Cwazy.
Goal this summer: finish script for a short film called Africa, U.S.A.
