starship down

loose-leaf
loose-lips
lose me in hindsight.
minds light up to
insight a quiet
(riot) cops open fire.
a shower of
good words and
smooth deeds
lace your false
smile.
shield their lies
and cover up their eyes
with plexi-glass ivy
so they feel
the
heat.

last supper blues

how often must i open my insides?
rip bone from flesh so you
can smile again.
your shadow is frowning,
but you barely notice through the red
rage.
a broken cage on display again.
this routine...

but my insides never lie.
why do you rub me this way?
can't we be friends without sutures?
a stitchless engagement?

it never changes.

the bush regime

how often must i
open my insides? cut
muscle intertwined. corroded. issue
incineration certificates if death
comes. is darkness ever
interesting? disease effects
don't ever
end.
