My general impression of my daily life here is constnatly changing, which is cool.. like this week I've gotten settled with classes and I have a lot more friends, and I generally speak much more German. This friday I was at bars all hours of the night (what the fuck is up with massachusetts and its refusal to have a nightlife)... I had no clue how much time was passing because I initiated so many random drunken conversations without regard for my shitty German or how drunk I must have sounded. I think I may have even been hitting on some girl, which is weird enough for me to have done in english. I took the first train home around 6am and ran into my awesome roomate and we rambled about what we'd been up to.. she corrects my german like she's my fucking mom, so I even said "du denkst dass ich ganz dumm bin oder?" (you think I'm totally stupid don't you) and she says "doch.. aber komisch" (of course not.. but "funny").
So I think i developed the good habits of spontaneously starting conversations, and staying out all night going to bars on fridays. But the rest of the weekend was a little quiet since I was a bit drained... but Saturday I cooked dinner with Geoff and went out for a couple hours.. and tonight I went to a sweet movie, "Schläfer" (Sleeper). And guten nacht.
