evidence of age sinking its rusty hooks in...

man, i remember not so long ago when i plowed through 18-hour work days and had energy to spare. sadly, this is not the case these days. i have three approximately 18 hour days (split between work and school) each week right now, followed by two regular 8 hour days, and it is kicking my ass. i've been trying to skew things in my favor...exercise, not eating as much crap, blah blah blah, but the fact of the matter is that all those years of not sleeping, ever, has made me appreciate the true value of drinking a beer and napping on the couch with the dog. i should probably just come to terms with the fact that until i'm done with school i'm going to be perpetually worn the fuck out. oh well.

so some awesomeness coming down the pipe in the next month or two, what with weddings and visits from scott and shelly and a halloween that just might actually be halloween-y for us. looking forward to all that, and the holiday season as well, especially since i should be able to start looking for jobs around that time.

i just realized that aside from the navy, the two+ years i've been working at home depot is that longest i've ever worked anywhere. and i'm totally fucking bored with it. i don't like retail, i don't like the douchebag contractors i'm forced to placate every day, and i don't like working with lazy-ass people that i have to babysit even though they're literally old enough to be my parents. bleh.

sooooo....yeah. this is the longest update i've posted in quite awhile. hopefully someone will be marginally interested enough to read it. i know that since i don't have a facebook thing, or twitter, and i look at myspace about once a month that i'm probably pretty out of touch at this point, but i think i'm perfectly happy with ye olde lj.

ok enough.
