(no subject)
Well, I'm finally 21!!!!!! I had the a blast on my birthday!!!!! All my co-workers and Nik and his buddies all took me out to a bar. We all got smashed (especially me) and did karaoke, it was sooooo much fun!!!! The office had a potluck for me and i had 3 birthday cakes i felt special :). Nik got me a cake and had the candles lit and when i walked in the door he sang to me. He gave me the sweetest card and sent me a bunch of flowers to my work with a teddy bear and chocolate!!! We went to a Nascar Concert and watched Lila McCann perform and i went on stage and Nik had them put on the screen Happy 21st Nikki, it was sweet!!!I also got a necklace, earrings, and a bracelet from Australia. But i'm glad that i am FINALLY legal to drink and party with everyone else!!! But i also can't believe how time has flown so quickly?? I received a bunch of birthday cards from my family of course they all put heart touching words in them and made me cry!!!! So thanks to all of you who did that that really made my birthday special, i love you guys!!!!! ;0) It was nice getting the phone calls from my family members who i thought wouldn't remember my birthday.
I have been busy with work but i like it. I make pretty good money and i love meeting new people. Nik and I just got a puppy last week. He's 6 weeks old half lab and half chow. He is the cutest thing!!! he is so sweet it's like having a baby.... well almost. I let Nik name him since it was a gift for him for our 1 year Anniversary....his name is Buddy :)It's one step closer for us having a little one of our own. But it'll be a while.
Nik and I are in the process of reenlisting, we put in our 3 choices for duty stations, and washington was one of our choices. He did really good on his pft yesterday and that'll help him get promoted here soon. Only 4 more months here in NC. I tell you what i'm going to miss thsi place, it was my home for a year now. I'll also miss all the wonderful people i met here. Alot of Nik's friends are getting out in the next couple of months, 3 of his friends just got out. We all went out last night to a marine club and we all got drunk and danced out butts off all night. And of course we're doing it again tonight to close out the weekend with them since they're leaving for good monday. It's just sad you make friends but turn around and leave them.....that's the military life for you.
It's been hot like crazy here it's so humid. I like it but it kills me sometimes. My dad is planning on coming down here again in July, we had tons of fun when he was here. All of our friends loved him. I am trying to get my sister down here for her birthday, so fingers crossed i can do it. Not much going on here just working and spending time with my wonderful husband and puppy. Anyway i just wanted to update doesn't look like anyone comes in here anymore so i might take a break. Hope all is well with all of you.
