... Brainy and I were working on an Anti-Entropi weapon with the Alliance. Thats what I was doing while you were asleep, why I wasn't here when you woke up.

Originally, we'd decided not to get too involved with the Alliance, though, and kept the Legion a separate entity that helped support their causes.

But now Brainy is gone, and we have to propose the weapons to the official weapons development team and...

... What if joining them completely is a better choice? But I don't want to risk the chance that it isn't...

Then just ally with them. Work together, but stay separate groups. You'll have the benefits of their help without merging.
