Atlantic City...is FUN
We got to Atlantic City around 9. I was expecting to go to bed around 10-11, nope that definitely didn't happen. We went to be at 3:00AM!
We put our crap in the room. The room was nice, my couch was not. The bathroom had a jacuzzi, a huge shower, a little closet like room for the toilet, two sinks and a huge closet. It was nice.
We left the room and headed to the casino. We gambled at a lot of penny machines and everyone drank a lot. Free drinks at the casino while you're gambling. They made me try a mudslide, which was wayyyy too strong and just nasty so I passed it along. They also made me try some wine which I didn't really like and strawberry daiquiri which was too sweet. They all got passed a long for them to drink. I stuck with diet coke while they all drank about 6 rounds of whatever they had.
At one point we were just standing around talking just waiting for the waitress to keep bringing drinks. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad I didn't go to bed before everyone else. I would have missed out. Around 1-2 we headed back to the room to go to bed but we ended up sitting around talking some more while we ate some snacks. Then went to bed.
3:00am. I was dying at the meeting. We had to get up around 7am to get showers.
The meeting wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It will definitely help, I just don't think it had to be that far away. I didn't have to give a speech, he only called on random people to talk about our papers and it wasn't a big yelling at everyone type of speech. We pretty much went over what went wrong, and how to fix it. Everyone agreed we definitely didn't have enough people. It was a long day. And a long drive home.
I got home around 7:30, talked to Rae about all the fun, got a shower and passed out.
And here I am, at work with the other non-important people..while all the important people are still in Atlantic City. Fun fun.
