Busy weekend
Saturday we woke up early, went to get hair cuts then went to my cousin Stephanie's new apartment to check it out. It's a pretty nice apartment, the only thing I didn't like was the fact that she doesn't have an AC in her bedroom and can't put one in the window because they're huge sliding windows. Sucks for her, she'll be sleeping out in the livingroom while it's hot. lol We got there as her furniture was being delivered. We didn't think the couch was gonna make it through the door but they got it. She got all new furniture, new couch, new bedroom set, queen size bed, 50inch flat screen tv..everything. We'll be hanging out over there a lot.
After hanging out there for a little bit we went to IKEA to look around. IKEA is fun to just walk around because of all the rooms. You can sit in them and pretend like it's your room. lol We didn't see anything we liked but it was still fun, I've only been there once so I wanted to go check it out. Sucks that they don't deliver, and that you have to put everything together.
After IKEA we went home to take a nappy, then went over to Gina's for a little BBQ. She seems to be doing a little better but she's still in a wheel chair because she can't walk. It was fun, we stayed until 11:30 or so then went home to sleep.
Sunday we woke up early again. We went to two furniture stores. First we went to some Samson's Discount Furniture. Didn't seem like a big discount on the stuff but hey, whatever they wanna call themselves. We sat on a bunch of couches that my butt just didn't like at all. (If we're gonna buy a couch..it's gotta be comfy, right?) My butt really liked one couch but it was around $900. My butt is apparently high maintenance. We found really nice bar stools we liked, they were about $70 each. If anyone wants to buy them for us, you're more than welcome. :)
After Samson's we went to Sofa Source, if you live around here..it's the store that's been going out of business for about 5 years. "Going out of business sale" Liars. We sat on more couches, saw pretty much all the same stuff, the couches were less money but the bar stools and tables were a lot more. We sat on this one couch, and my butt was like 'DING DING DING! WINNNEERR!', we looked at the price and then my pocket did the same exact thing. So yea..we bought a couch. It was sooo comfortable and wasn't too expensive. :) We were pretty excited.
Think it'll fit in my apartment? ;)
It's micro fiber, so nice and comfy. Good thing we got a nice couch because I'll probably be sleeping on it a lot. lol jk..
After the couch we went to see my brother and sister. Her birthday is today but we went over yesterday. I wrote in her birthday card "Make sure you keep August 14 open because you'll be in section 103, row 5 seat 8 of the Kelly Clarkson concert!" And she looked up with a shocked face after reading it and said "I will?" She was excited. :) We hung out there for awhile then went home.
It was a pretty good weekend. :)
P.S. Wachovia still sucks. They got my money back and said they were overnighting a new card and waiving the $16 fee for the overnight, well that was Wednesday and it's now MONDAY and I still have no debit card! Bastards..I need my moneyyyyyyy! Hmphhh..
