Dick Bat!
So, some context: Dick Grayson, the original Robin, is currently Batman. Batman is Dead. Meanwhile, Captain America (who is also dead) has been replaced by his sidekick, Bucky.
invisiblemoose: I'm amuzed with this game website's review of the NES Batman game.
invisiblemoose: Like, when you start the game you have a health bar and the word BATMAN above it. Pretty standard stuff for a game, right?
sapphirebreeze: Yus.
invisiblemoose: And at that point you can jump about and punch people. Whcih is all good.
invisiblemoose: But as soon as you get powerups and you start switching among them, the word BATMAN goes and you get whatever that weapon is called showing up.
invisiblemoose: So BATMAN isn't the name of the character. It's the name of an attack.
invisiblemoose: Whenever it looks like Batman is punching someone? He's Batman-ing them.

So I decided to share this with Mark...

invisiblemoose: It would be the same as dressing as Batman. You cannot be Batman just by dressing as him. The same way as a person dressed as Batman cannot Batman someone, because only Batman can Batman.
