Makign things that I don't have time to make
So, I saw a really awesome thing in Vogue today, and I am now making one. It's like a hat with ear flaps, but also like a headband. Basically, a hat with the top bit cut off. So now I've got out the leather and I've been sewing on this thing for like an hour, and I've done about... 6 inches. Of the outside fabric. It's gonna take forever.
And then I want to make matching fingerless gloves since my dog ate the fingers off my favorite driving gloves (I want to make proper fingerless gloves out of those once I find them)
But I should SO be working on other things instead. I have CONvergence this weekend, and we're making 3 Iron Man costumes with lots of armor, which I am in charge of. Can't work on it tonight or tomorrow night anyway since it's at someone else's house, but still. I also need to finish up my Iron Man t-shirt that I screen printed a couple weeks ago, and pack all my stuff before Wed night. Lots to do!
Plus I have a load of art to make for other people, and a car show to go to on Saturday morning which I will be temporarily leaving the con for.
And I sort of missed work today. Apparently I got my schedules for today and tomorrow mixed up, and I called in after they left me a message, and they were like "don't come in actually, we're good" so I've been kinda nervous all day since this has happened before and I got talked to about it. Hopefully nothing bad comes of it, such as me getting fired. I hate job hunting.
In other, happier news, TOP GEAR! I'm very optimistic about the new series, even though last night's wasn't absolutely fantastic or anything. I'm sad that James cut his hair, but it'll grow out again. Can't wait for next week! And I keep hoping that one of these days Richard will wear the Oliver shirt I made him. I can hope!
I'm hopelessly addicted to Leverage all of a sudden. Just what I need: another show to obsess over! Off to watch the latest episode!
