Woo-hoo!
The autism discussion at the ALF headquarters tonight on Second Life was the best real-time interaction experience I've had in a long time. The major social anxiety faded early on, and the interaction pattern was easy from there. I'll have to go again next week, and will probably be wandering around the ALF headquarters during the afternoon throughout the week, trying to educate the NTs who randomly stumble across the Autistic Liberation Front on SL. So far it looks like there's no big curebie presence there.
I finished reading Ask and Tell (the self-advocacy and disclosure book.) Comments later on that, but that's too much to think about now. I strongly agreed with some parts, but equally strongly disagreed with other parts, and am not yet sure what to think of it as a whole. More specifics on my thoughts on each author's contribution later.
