Žukadim - Song III

Another song in Žukadim, but this one is not so traditional! After years of resistance, Énilekim finally allowed foreign popular music onto its soil. However to discourage westernisation, monitor content and build up a local industry, for almost two decades all foreign music was translated into Žukadim and re-recorded by local artists. Now, many songs are imported in their original form, but translated covers make up about a quarter of popular music. Here is a translation of the Pink Floyd song "The Thin Ice", from the famous "The Wall" album. The cover of this album was quite successful in Énilekim. The lyrics of the song feature many contractions and casual- or sung-style slurs of pronunciation. A full translation is also provided. English lyrics can be found elsewhere!
