[Filter to Atsuro] Let's talk. [/Filter]

It's good to be back. Don't go knocking down my door now.

@hazama, @batman, {vanishin into walls since bc}, {teleport is his favorite spell}, {trolling you}, @jay, {advocate}, {uh-oh he's happy}

Ah, Naoya? Such a pleasure to see you're back.

[Putting a filter on this, just incase Naoya doesn't want other people hearing.]

Were you gone in something relating to that "magic" you spoke of earlier, or a different reason, if I may inquire?

You could say that.

However, the magic is usable again.

[He doesn't mind people knowing he has magic, but he probably would have locked it anyway. Still he's going to check to make sure the filter is secure.]

... Really. Care to inform me on how that works, then?

[He laughs. He'll tell him, but only because he's confident that no one can manipulate the system but him.]

It's based on ancient techniques, but uses a modern interface to expedite the process. In short it relies on communication between a server and the devices, using an algorithm to convert the magic into code. Something like this.

[He switches to written for a moment, and you can be sure there's some really, really, complicated math equation written down.]

[Hazama raises a brow at the appearance of the equation, looking at the different components of the process; there's some familiar bits in there, but this seemed something more akin to what the half-breed would be familiar with. He did work with this, but not nearly as often; the male was much more of the hands-on type.]

Blurring the line between magic and science. Your talents are remarkable.

[That's an ego pat he can appreciate, but he knows he's remarkable.]

Thanks.

It's sturdier, faster, and more importantly more usable than magic by itself. Any person can be taught to use magic this way.

And what do you hope to achieve by spreading this knowledge, then?

It had more of a use back in Tokyo.

Here, it's just a continuation and improvement of the product.

[Despite the difference in worlds, they didn't seem all that different when it came to their methods. Interesting.]

Magic that runs on electricity. Why, you'd be precious intel in my world of origin. But I suppose that there's no use in speculation.

Oh? I've done work for organizations before.

No offense to you, but I don't figure you as much of a law-enforcer. Granted, those with technical talents akin to yours are also valued by members of the resistance. I'm sure that you're familiar with such a set-up.

[He laughs.]

Not in that regard; everyone tends to need OIRT work. Even religious organizations.

[You're always grabbing his attention, Naoya, gosh.]

Religious organizations, hm? With propaganda, or something a bit more risque?

The work I did was more than just mere propaganda. They could have hired anyone for that.
