This meme is probably more for my benefit. Read my answers if you want, I really don't mind.
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
- VCE exams. I did rather well!
- Went to a movie on its opening night
- Spent the most amount of time away from my family. In April, 2 weeks in the US, and now, 6 weeks in France
- (I might add to this list..)
- Consolidate driving an automatic car, and getting a handle on driving a manual
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I'm a tad cynical about this - I'm not really into new year's resolutions - I reckon if you want to change something about yourself, you shouldn't need an excuse like a new year to start it.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yeah, my aunty had a little boy back in July.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not that I know of
5. What countries did you visit?
The US and France. HUZZAH
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A larger understanding of the world, more motivation towards my school work.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
In no particular order: (and these are all off the top of my head)
- 19th November - Australian premier of QOS
- 12th November - Legal Studies exam
- 5th November - music theory exam
- 29th October - music perormance exam
- 22nd November - when I left for France
- 4th April (I think) when I left for the US
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a 40 for music, and spending 6 weeks away from home.
9. What was your biggest failure?
That I didn't do better in Legal.. But in my defence, I never wanted to do the subject from the start, and I didn't like it at all.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Apart from the occasional colds, my knee. Remember that saga? Fucking knee. I did it again, really badly, a few weeks back when we were in Blaye (South-west France) Hate it hate it hate it.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My new black coat, and the Bond on Set QOS book. (in French)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
What?
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Some of my friends.. Camm me arrogant, but some peolple I know can be too narrow minded.
14. Where did most of your money go?
On this trip.. I think
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
QOS. Like you wouldn't believe.
America (both times) and France
16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2008?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Am I what?
I think I'm a little more wary, and I'd like to think I'm a bit more worldly. But I'm sure I haven't changed that much.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Reading. And study.

20. How will you be spending Christmas New Years?
Well, seeing as how it's the 27th.. Check my previous entry. That wraps up my Christmas. And as for New Years, I don't know.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Lol, unless you count the crushes on David Tennant and Robert Downey Jr, not really.
23. How many one-night stands?
I think I'd have to be very, very drunk to have one of those.. None
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Doctor Who, Torchwood, Burn Notice, I liked Packed to the Rafters for a little while, and Spicks and Specks, as always.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate is a very strong word. Not really..
26. What was the best book you read?
Christ, I have no idea. I read a lot. Maybe Devil May Care, or parts of Hamlet that I started bzfore I left. That's only off the top of my head.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Jason Mraz's new album (let it be known that I already liked him) the Torchwood and Doctor Who soundtracks, OneRepublic.. See question 16.
28. What did you want and get?
Tickets to QOS on its opening night. And my new shiny watch.
29. What did you want and not get?
Maybe better marks on my exams..
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Iron Man, QOS, The Dark Knight - which I only saw very recently.. and WALL-E. Because how could you not love that movie? Oh, and Blood Diamond
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
We went out for Thai, on my request. I also did no homework, and watched Blood Diamond for the first time. I turned 17
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not doing my knee like I did, so I could say that I was part of the premiership soccer team more legitimately. Maybe more study. Other than that, having a certain secret agent/british actor in my life, not a lot. It was a fairly good year.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Jeans, Chucks, and hoodies from American universities.
34. What kept you sane?
Or insane, rather. Livejournal, and my friends and family.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Daniel Craig.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The threat of another Republican roosting in the White House. OBAMA = WIN
37. Whom did you miss?
Jack, John and Julie.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Some of my new friends on LJ, see question 37, and some of the other guys who came to France as well.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008?
Christmas is better with family.
