Anthony made his way into Transfiguration, taking a seat next to Jade. Prof. Tamira was certainly easier on the eyes than McGonogall, but she was also distracting. Looking from the chicks to the fishbowls, he took out his wand along with some parchment and a quill, wondering what they were going to transfigure the chicks into.

She smiled and leaned over slightly to ask quietly, "Any idea on what we're doing today?" They had never done anything with water animals before and she was getting a little anxious.

"No clue," he said, picking up one of the chicks and looking it before sneering at Draco.

"Seems like Malfoy thinks we're turning them into goldfish," he told Jade, forgetting about the chick in his hands as Aysel walked by and he leaned forward, staring at the professor.

Jade rolled her eyes as Anthony gaped at the teacher and the fuzzy chick pecked at his hand.

"Turning a bird into a fish? That sounds difficult." She said, opening her transfiguration book to try and find the spell.

He started as the chick pecked at his hand, dropping it on the table before turning to Jade.

"If Malfoy can do it, I'm sure you can," he said encouragingly as he opened his transfig book and found the right page, indicating it to his housemate.

"Have you seen Padma aroudn today?" he asked curiously, hoping he wasn't being too obvious.

She smiled slightly and turned to the page, studying it intently.

"She was in the dorm this morning, but left pretty early. But I'm sure you'll see her around today." She looked over at him and smiled.

He nodded, setting the chick in the bowl of water before turning it into a goldfish, it's coloring identical.

"How are you doing? You're detentions haven't been too rough, have they?" he asked curiously.

She sighed slightly. "We've been shelving books....for hours." Waving her wand with an intent look on her face, she tried changing the bird. The bird's color turned a pale turquoise and she sighed.

"I honestly didn't know there were that many books in the library." She looked down to read the page again.

Anthony smiled at Jade's turquoise bird.

"Nice color," he said. Leaning over, he placed his hand over hers gently.

"I think you want a little more flick at the end. It might help to concentrate on making it swim," he suggested gently, wanting to help his housemate.

She sighed and ran her other hand through her hair. Why had he put his hand on hers? He liked Padma and she was with Harry. They had sat together that morning at breakfast, surely people would have noticed.

But his advice did seem good so she flicked her wand a slight bit more at the end, turning her turquoise chick into a turquoise fish. She dropped it into the bowl and watched him swim around for a moment, and smiled to herself.

"Thanks," she said smiling.

He smiled encouragingly as he pulled his hand back.

"told you you could do it," he said, complimenting her as he smiled.

"I saw you sitting with Harry this morning... are you two..? " he asked, leaving the question open.

She smiled. "Yeah." She said slowly and shot a glace over to the Gryffindor Table where he was looking with amused interest at Ron poking his chick with the end of his wand.

"It just happened yesterday." She said looking back over at Anthony, almost glowing.

"You and your gryffindors," he teased. "Trying to get through the whole house or something?"

Her jaw dropped and she playfully hit him the arm. "Hey!!!" She said, her face smiling a bit.

"That's not fair." She said and turned her head slightly. "I don't think I can talk to you after a question like that, insulting a lady's honor.." She said trailing off, trying to keep a straight face.

He chuckled.

"It'd only be insulting if I said you were dating them all at the same time.." he teased, leaning out of her reach. Catching a glimpse of Pansy and Draco rubbing legs under the desk, he rolled his eyes.

"Hey Malfoy? Got some itch on your leg that need scratching? Or did you drop one of the chicks down your pants.." he called out.

She tried to supress a giggle but it couldn't help coming out. She looked over to the Slytherin table and saw Pansy and Draco's legs immediately separate like shrapnel.

"You really shouldn't have done that," she whispered. "Now just look what you've stirred up." She said laughing slightly.
