Catalog of people met in Seoul

Jason L - A Korean-American dancer from New York, looking to break into the scene in Seoul. Has taught workshops and at dance conferences around the world [showed us some clips of him teaching children in Latin America [Panama, etc]. Laid back, talkative [perhaps drawlingly/lethargically so]

Kira F - German from Berlin who had been studying at a university in Pohang

Rain Carter - Chinese-Canadian [Shenzhen/Toronto] working at the Four Seasons in Shenzhen, classic femme fatale personality, beautiful and assertive

Nara L - Friend of Carter, Korean who lived and worked in Beijing for 6 years and speaks really good Chinese, handsome and very kind, drove us around on the day we got rice cake

Crystal [Liu-man] - Chinese from Shenyang, student at the Nanjing Art Institute majoring in screenplay writing; really nice and knowledgeable, very independent and cute

Kitaek - Friend of Liu-man that she met while at Jeju, working at a water filter exports firm in Seoul, may transfer to China in the future, very kind [spend the evening of Thursday(?) walking me around Myeongdong and Insadong, and along the Cheongye stream

Michel - Ecuadorian from Machala, had originally studied environmental engineering back home in ecuador because her parents had forced her to, but she rebelled and was now in Korea with plans to attend university there in March to learn Korean and become a journalist. Only spoke Spanish, so I really struggled talking with her [multiple instances of me trying to reply affirmative to a question and saying "はい--WAIT NO, yes--WAIT--si!!"] She's unfortunately the only person I didn't get the Facebook for, so I don't know if I'll every hear from her again...oh technology.

Diego, Marcos, and Igor - Three Brazilians living in Japan [near Nagoya]; really cool folks, big partiers

Jaime [and Dana] - Canadian from Toronto, with her best friend Dana; Jaime was absolutely awesome--on the last night in Seoul, we went out just drinking and eating street food together, and talking

Martin Z and Joseph L - Chinese- and Korean-Australian, respectively; in Seoul on transit to study finance at UCLA
