So tomorrow morning I have a "working interview" (?) with the SPCA--society for the prevention of cruelty to animals, IIRC. Basically a local shelter, in fact the place where my darling Simba came from. It's for a job that involves cleaning kennels and kitty litter boxes for $8.50/hour. So, better wages than my current job, likely better hours, and definitely harder work. Was told I could wear sneakers and jeans, since this is a hands-on kind of interview.
I have slightly mixed feelings, because to be honest I do prefer a job at Gamestop or something, buuuut I am not above getting my hands dirty to earn a wage! And Gamestop is run badly at the core level (requiring employees to get X number of subscriptions/reserves). And considering the hours a place like Gamestop is likely to give me (I applied at one in Hunt Valley yesterday that actually has an opening so I am kind of hopeful) it might not be out of the question to do both jobs. Presuming the gamestop even calls me back for an interview, but I dressed nice and had a good chat with the people working there.
tl;dr Sam wants to earn a living without actually putting forth effort. Also an employee discount would be nice. OTL
