So, someone on #hackcanada posts a news article about this supposed new "powdered alcohol" drink,
subyou. I'm pretty skeptical of the ability of alcohol to be powdered, due to its low freezing and melting point. The site linked above has a short explanation, but it's light on details, references or patent numbers. A search for "powdered alcohol" and "maltodextrin" only comes up with 12 sites, and they all repeat the same information. I'm not impressed by the fact that everyone is reacting to this without actually investigating it. So, I'm launching my own investigation. I'm going to buy some, take it to the chem lab, and see how much alcohol is really in it. But, I need cash. So I'm summoning the power of my friends list!
