Dismembering Ironside
I was continuing my research into why Michael Ironside ( http://imdb.com/name/nm0000461/ ) keeps having his arms ripped off in his films, when I found a post by a guy who calls Ironside "the most desmembered man in Hollywood". His lists includes other dismemberments, though:
-- 1981: Scanners: His head blows up
-- 1990: Total Recall: Has both arms ripped off by an elevator
-- 1991: Highlander II: The Quickening: Has his head lopped off by Christopher "I don't think so" Lambert
-- 1997: Starship Troopers: Starts the movie minus an arm, and later has his bottom half ripped off by some bugs.
-- 2004: The Machinist: Has his arm ripped off my some industrial machinery.
I haven't seen Killer Image, but I did see some behind-the-scenes photos and it looks as though he may have lost some limbs in that one. Please let me know if there are any others!
