It's 62 degrees outside. (That's about 17 degrees Celsius.) Do you have any idea how difficult it is to get into the holiday spirit when everyone is wandering around in t-shirts and tank tops and several people are even wearing shorts? And the heat at uni has been turned on so the rooms are stifling. So we have all the windows up. It feels like we're about to go on summer break instead of winter.
Had an incident with my blood sugar today. I didn't have time to grab a snack this morning, and all I had for lunch was a PB&J sandwich and a swig of juice. So there was a lovely light-headed swimmy moment while I dragged myself up the stairs to my last afternoon class. I made it safely though, and immediately pulled out some grapes, wheedled some chocolate from a classmate, and downed the rest of my juice bottle. Every incident like that makes me wonder if the onset of diabetes is imminent (my grandmother was and my sister is diabetic) or if I'll spend the rest of my life as a borderline like my father.
And the lack of sleep and just general stress of crunch time is so helping my health and sanity in general, of course. >_<
I recieved my Petite Princess Yucie dvd today though. I can't wait to sit down and watch, but I think I'm going to save it until after finals. A treat, if you will. And I'll be needing one. Ugh.
Well, I'm off to start working on the first of my term papers. I need at least six more pages of content. ^_^;; It's rambling time!
