TokyoPop's license for Samurai Deeper Kyo expired and they didn't bother to renew it. Boo on them! Fortunately,
Del Rey is stepping in to pick up the slack. Yay for Del Rey! I shall add this to my reasons to like you. Now I have to decide whether to fill in the missing volumes of my collection with the TokyoPop editions or wait for Del Rey to republish. (Because they will republish, right? Am I reading that release correctly? Someone either reassure me or shoot me down!)
Last night sucked. We had a rather impressive bow echo storm front thingy come through yesterday afternoon with another impressive display of lightning and thunder around 3:30 AM. That one practically levitated me out of the bed since I had my window open. (As an aside, Mason may have some potential as a guardian yet.) Lost power around 4 PM yesterday. Did not get power back until 12:15 this afternoon. It was hot and dark and so very boring, and I was up at 6:30 because it was so hot and bright and not quite as boring.
Lots of fallen trees all over the place too. No damage to us but back neighbors lost a significant chunk of one of their willows (the branch is greater in diameter than the 15 yr old oaks in our yard!) and it tried its best to take out the shed of their neighbor on the other side.
Am somewhat eager to see if work will be open on Monday. Monday's payday, but Midtown is known for its beautiful, massive old growth trees... that come toppling down on the electrical lines at the slightest provocation.
Poked at ficcage yesterday prior to power loss. Am torn on where to direct my attention first so I jabbed a bit at some 1xR, Samurai Champloo OT3, and a new Sunako/Kyohei piece.
