Today my brother presented me with the ultimate symbol of love and affection.
HE BOUGHT A SPINY PUFFER FOR ME!

Anyone who's only seen cartoon renditions or those poor, dead, puffed out, dried up things sold at the seaside cannot fully appreciate just how damn cute the little buggers are. OMG they're practically cuddly with their big skulls and electric blue eyes and the way they try to curl up like little fishy cats to sleep and then do the fishy equivalent of stumbling around the tank until they've completely woken up. And they're quite the friendly, playful social butterflies and we haven't had one in years and I've missed the little bumblebee tank runners so!

Off to play with the fishy! And for some reason we've taken to calling this one Puppy. o.O;; I guess it's sort of a bastardization of the oh-so-creative Puff, Puffy, and Puff Puff that the others were called respectively.
