Fortunately it wasn't used in the movie - at least, not the one I saw.
Regarding the first movie, scriptwriter William Goldman also found it unrealistic, destroying the suspension of disbelief. Because the Stepford women didn't look like Bo Derek. (You'd have to be a madman to realize such a plan - but such madmen would want their women look like 10s, not just attractive.)
It seems like this book needs a third movie, this time done right. Maybe with even nastier villains?
