Nobody else quite so much. It was more like - Neil Gaiman and no Alan Moore? I like Gaiman, but compared to Moore, he is like a light rose' wine compared with a vintage port. And I reacted negatively to mention of Heinlein, whom I regard as a bad influence not only politically but as a craftsman - I don't like this business of just starting a story without any idea what you will do with it - but I see that you have the same objections as I have, and incidentally place the point of no return at pretty much the same time as I do. The Friday and related complex of stories were just deeply weird...
