Hello.

Hopefully you are fine.

Anyhoow, I assume you read 2 "jagermeister stations" books, also. IMO, in the 2-nd book ending he really let it show how it felt.

Also, recommend his "Main" about a police leftenant in Montreal in 70-s, really a couple of boards to keep your head up as we all go down the stream. You die after.

Back when I was reading them novels it all came so real, the spy games, double-crosses, shady dealings, strong men in suits rumpled after an excersize of dispatching enemies and embracing friends of power who would betray with different allies afterwards. And so on.

Well, as I am a more seasoned pocket-book reader still gullible for an easy take, what would you recommend detective side of ScFi or fantasy.

I'm not sure where to start with recommendations. Detective SF or Fantasy? I guess Altered Carbon and When Gravity Falls comes to mind. So do some of Alastair Reynolds's novels. (They aren't exactly detective stories, but they are mysteries.) I can't think of a lot of detective fantasy off-hand, though Brandon Sanderson often wraps mysteries/puzzles in his epic fantasy. And of course, Scott Lynch writes fantasy crime capers, though those are not the same thing.

Appreciate the answer.

I read AC, so that's done. :)

Did you mean 'When Gravity Fails'?

I'll look into Reynolds.

Lynch's are capers, I agree.

Stories I had in mind would be more strict detective stories, like Randall Garrett's Lord Darcy, Cook's Garrett or Martin Scott's Thraxas.

Thanks for the pointers.
