I really didn't think that Raul was all that flat, quite honestly. He certainly is a lot better than a "magical boyfriend". He has flaws and he really isn't the smartest or most insightful guy around. At least according to Martin. And Raul - he seems to mention that a few times.

These four books are ones I will reread when I want really good escapism, because the world seems so real. And they are self consistent, a big plus for those of us who are detail oriented.

I'm pretty sure you must have mentioned this in a post somewhere or the other, but I'll still go ahead and ask - How do you decide which book to read next? And do you review every book you read?

It's actually pretty random, though some of my books are from the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die list. Others are on my Mount TBR pile.

I do review almost all of the books I read nowadays.
