I wish so much that authors could get multiple book deals that didn't obligate them to write more books in a series that really doesn't need any.

I might have to look this one up the next tiem I"m in the mood for some mindless post apocalyptic fun that doens't require much brain. :)

That said, maybe the trilogy will break new ground? maybe doing something unique like focusing on the adventures of their little girl 25 years later? (perhaps as she is rebelious and leaves home on her own and Has an Adventure?) ... yeah. probably not. :C

Thanks for the fucking fantastic review. You managed to articulate everything that I didn't like about this book. It just didn't have any heart, anything to really connect with, I guess. It wasn't BAD, per se, but it was incredibly mediocre.
