Party in Realtime (To Playback)
I don't think I did this for the past... Probably... Two or three years I've had a journal on a year change. But I thought some fun questions might be in order just to reflect. Just Because its fun like that. Just my personal way of sending out the year.
Has the year gone by fast for you?
Well... kind of. My own way of dating things is really weird and what I think is current is strange. I still find it odd that I was still in middle school in May, and I think Valley Fair happened a long time ago and Detour didn't... Which should be reversed. Overall, some stuff just sticks up more and I remember it better. This year has been really bad for me, and really scattered.
How was this year for you?
Not that great really. A lot of stuff went on that was filled with annoying realizations and set backs that don't sit well with me. There were great points and really low points that don't balance out well at all.
Did you do any new years resolutions/follow through with them?
I wanted to draw more, but in the end I was really uninspired and didn't have a lot of time. After kind of figuring out I didn't want to pursue a strict art career, I gave up on it a lot. Another reason this year sucked.
Any firsts?
Tons actually. First time I perminantly dyed my hair, first con, first time speaking japanese to a japanese person, first time I got to teach and make money, first days of highschool, first time getting a professional to create a copy of my work (by hand, duh) First time I met the pope. First I-pod, First AMV. Tons.
What would you tell yourself one year ago about the future?
You're a character in Steinbeck's novel, and there is no way out.
What have you learned about yourself this year?
More then bares repeating. A lot of it is pretty miserable shit.
Most interesting person you met this year?
Holy shit, tons of people, but I guess David. That boy keeps me alive.
What are you most thankful for?
My friends. Just saying that doesn't give them justice.
What was the best part of 2007?
Anime Detour. I never felt more at home in one place, never felt like I had so much family at one time.
Most Fun?
I think TPG Uno took the cake. Holy shits I thought I was going to break a rib I was laughing so hard. Meis... god.
Part that got you the angriest?
The bullshit with my japanese class, felt like I was going to break something. I was pissed.
Other weird part?
Making cookies with David and sitting outside in the snow while they cooked and talking about our lives. I felt very good talking that night after a lot of things that were happening. It was amazing.
Can't wait for...
The conventions next year... It's going to be a blast. Majorly. The panel is going to be interesting. Cosplay is going to be amazing.
The new Bleach Musicals, always amazing.
All the anime stuff more or less.
Seeing how everything shakes out really. I have a lot of stuff going on that I would like to see ending. I don't know whats going to happen, but whatever happens, happens.
Goals?
Find something amazing.
There is so much I would love to write.
