Were the same or higher class than your high school teachers - Many of my teachers complained about money often so I would imagine they didn't do too well financially.

Had lessons of any kind before you turned 18 - My dad made me get guitar lessons and I wasn't interested, and I even tried to self teach myself the violin, which didn't work out too well obviously.

The people in the media who dress and talk like me are portrayed positively - I guess I would be considered a bit of a loner/geek, and growing up I never saw those people get any respect. But nowadays it's changed. I don't know.

Family vacations involved staying at hotels This only maybe happened two or three times that I can remember, and it only occurred over a weekend tops. We mostly stayed with family members during vacation time, and that was seldom.

Your parents bought you a car that was not a hand-me-down from them. - All my cars I bought myself 100% with the exception of my current car, which is a hand-me-down.

Owned a mutual fund or IRA in High School or College - I don't think I know of anyone who did. In fact, high school didn't do a very good job of instructing us on investing or banking.
