(no subject)
Carlos is getting married.. dude. heh.
Carlos would be the closest thing i have to a brother. My cousin. 16 months older than myself. He was born in Paris (france) . His mom, dad and sister (my aunt, uncle and cousin) moved back to Portugal 2 years ago.. but this year he moved back to france, this time to Marseilles (sp?) with his girlfriend, and after the other day's phonecall, fiancee. Its official, he's getting married, he requested my presence at his wedding, he said he was going to call back in a few weeks with more info as no date has been set or anything, he was engaged only recently, but the plan is for all of us, or me if the rest of the family cant make it, to be in Portugal next summer. Of course i said yes. He's the first then... from my mom's side of the family i mean... to get married. He's the oldest out of all of us, myself being second oldest, then my sister then 5 other cousins after us. Nobody's expecting me to get married anytime soon heh...
This is a guy who everytime i go to portugal we do everything together.. fuck we even almost got kiled together.. i remember us running around in my mother's village with Zorro suits and whips hittting the local's cows on the asses trying to make them run off. (we of course got into shit after that because someone snitched on us -_- ) anyway.. its great, he's an awesome guy, and im happy for him.
god i miss portugal... i have to go back... i have yet to develop the pictures from my january voyage to my grandmother's funeral.. I didnt pictures of the funeral of course, i went into the towns near the village at night... its so beautiful walking through the european cobble stone roads... the moon above and the dim lights in the streets casting an eerie glow along the paths. like something out of a horror movie.. i love it. I need more europe.
ooo and June 10th is Portugal day..... can you say drunken portuguese men trashing bellwoods park!? :P

So i've decided to take my dad's friend up on his offer and go work with him, I'll be calling him tomorrow.
North by North East (NXNE) starts this week, its basically a week long 'festival' happening in different bars and venues around the city with artists from canada, the states and around the world. Roy's band gets opening night at Club 279 at the Hard Rock downtown. Last year they played the Reverb, they were on at like 1 in the morning, this year they're on at 10, great time. Its on thursday night.. so if any locals read this.. GO!
Its going to be ther first time in a while that i see them... fuck last time i saw them was when i was filming their Live @ The Edge session last summer. I was supposed to go see them on new years eve (they were playing with Scratching Post) but.. didnt get to go :/
Oh well.. i think its about time i go see a gig, even if it is on my own.. (dont really care. :P )
