Poor Betty rat...
One of my rats is getting pretty old. For rats, anyway. I don't think she's got much longer right now, as she's got almost no energy and she seems to have something wrong with her fur/skin on her hind legs. I'm kinda puzzled about it, I'm not sure what it really is. At first glace, it just looks as though she has some dirt on her fur there. But upon further inspection, The dirt is actually flakes of her skin and her skin there is dark, almost scabby looking. I'm hoping it's not fungal, as it would probably spread to the other rat. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the rest of her fur, just that area. Well I think I'm going to give her a good bath, and see how that goes.
