I got a new cell phone.

Dial some new digits if you feel like talking: 859-7800

Or you can just write it down and save it for later.

It's been a while since my last post mainly because I have been really busy the last couple of days. Last Friday was spent helping out with the Jazz Festival which ran from 3 to about 10:30. It. Was. Extremely. BORING. All jazz started to sound the same after the 2 or third band preformed. I got suckered into being responsible for taping the bands, which involves standing next to the video camera and pushing a little button to start recording, wait 15 or so minutes for the band to play, hitting the button again to stop the camera, and switching the tapes. I actually lasted a good hour and a half before I got Keith to do it for a little while. Me and him split the job (he would start it, I would stop it. Yes, I am that lazy.) Shane, Craig, and Tracy were up in the booth which provided a source of entertainment while I would wait for the band to finish. In all honesty I spent a fair amount of time also hanging out down in the concession stand for a change of scenery. I may be the sickest I ever have been of jazz, but seven more hours of community service! w00t!

Yesterday was the first annual Drama Awards. It wasn't an easy night. Not because I was sitting next to annoying people or anything, but it was like one more sign that it's not a dream; the year is actually coming to an end and there are going to be some tough good-byes. Before the awards started, two of the freshmen put together a slide show of the year which was very sweet and very hilarious. There were an awful lot of pictures of Craig, too. Hmmmmm.... I sat next to Annora and we played "Who's going to win it?" based on the title and/or the description of the person who won it. Annora was on a roll, while I managed to guess like 2 right. I didn't go to it expecting to win anything, but believe it or not, I actually did! Shane gave out 4-5 "Spirit Awards" to quote "People who have spirit." Shane read off the names slowly so that each person who have their own time on stage and congradulated the winners with a handshake. Shannon/George actually won one (really freaky freshman if you don't know her), Mandi Weiss won one, Kevin Paul won one, Annora Brennan won one, and then "To a guy who always makes me smile...Andy Cheromcha!" So I ran up there and gave Shane a huge hug for laughs and because I am going to miss that sun-of-a-bitch till the fall production. Mostly cause I am going to miss him, though. All the Seniors got called up at the end to get a little gift from Shane and that's when it really hit me how many people we were going to lose. Definetely got some big shoes to fill. After the awards there was condiment and punch in the pit and it was all a big hug-&-congrats-fest. But hey! We still got another Drama Clinic next Monday and Pat and I are going to cappucino shots beforehand. Why? Cause we're like that.
